Today I was riding to school and I shifted down while coming to a stop, and I heard a very large 'CLUNK' like something had snapped when I downgeared. It happened on the way home too, also when I was going up a shallow incline the bike starting jumping like it was cutting out but then going at full power again, and it was buzzing too. (As in electrical buzzing, not the way you Mancs use it Razz)

I was just wondering if anyone could help me and tell me what is up with the bike, and what I should do Sad

Karma for anyone who helps Smile Karma

Oh oh karma!! Lol

Anyways, maybe the gearbox is out of oil, or it might just be the cold.
Not sure doesn’t sound that bad, sometimes my RX50 made some heavy thunks from the box, could be to do with speed..
What bike is it again?
Jerkiness might be lack of petroleum or spark plug.
The buzzing, I have no idea mate sorry.

Take your r/h fairing off and theres a screw on the crank casing, with the bike level (stood up) then top up the oil threw the filler cap at the top until oil comes out the screw hole at the side. Replace both the cap + screw and your gearbox level will be bang on.

The slowing down + cuttnig out may have been cause the engine is cold, mine does it now and again..(I also have an AM6 engine)

The buzzing noise may just be you being paranoid because you heard the clunk, after i came off i was hearing noises that i'm sure wern't there before, but it was just me being paranoid.

Clunk and buzzing is probably chain tension related.

If its a crosser or moto style thing chain tension is a bit of a cock to adjust - should really be checked with someone sitting on the seat, having the suspension compressed can alter the chain tension.

You want an inch of slack at its slackest point. Make sure its lubed up too.

It's about right then, I'll lube it up tomorrow thanks Very Happy

*Goes to fetch vaseline* Laughing

EDIT: Right I'm going to:

a) Check oil level of gearbox
b) If it is too low fill it up till the screw bleeds
c) Lube up the chain
d) Check airbox-carb connection
e) Kick the bike
f) Maybe take it for a servicing

Thanks for all your help Thumbs Up Karma
