Following my highside a few months back I've fixed everything except the two cosmetic sections of damage to the fairings.

I had been quoted £180+VAT for each panel to be fixed by a bike repair company, which seemed steep to say the least. The damage to the side fairing will be unnoticable by replacing the sticker. The damage to the rear fairing was worse because it gouged the plastic.

A week or so ago I saw a van driving round town, advertising that they repair bumper scratches and the like. I called him up, and it turns out his brother rides a GSXR1100 and he's touched it up in the past. He came round this morning, and sorted the damage to the rear fairing. Have a look at the pictures. Cost? £55. Bargain Thumbs Up

Now just to get the side panel sorted.

Nice one, It wasn't very obvious in the flesh tho tbh. Those bungs did a good job considering how hard the crash was.

You wanna come show off you now undamaged fairing at boxhill this weekend? Razz

It's my birthday at the weekend, and I don't think I'll be able to walk, let alone ride a bike! Wink

Thats some repair job but didn't look too bad. I got a R/S and front fairing panel for my old ZX6R back in March for much cheapness. £180 + VAT is a rip off! Shocked

Terry Barber, Carfix, 01993 773556, 07766 915296.

He's based in Witney, about two miles from me, but he only covers Oxfordshire.

He couldn't do the side panel because the damage is contained to the stickers and not the actual panel or paintwork.
