yo i love this paint work for the r6, i think its the best colour u can buy it in and when i pass my test i hope to buy it in the same colour! does rim tape come standard? anybody else think the r6 is a top bike?? i love it..

first i would change the lights inside so they was red cause that would look kick ass mean, then i would change the pipe and also get mini indactors. id also chnage the grips to red..

Changing the grips to red would spoil what is a great looking bike.

I can't help it.....

" Laughing "

Yes. Very nice bike. Almost bought one in June when they were doing 0% finance deals. Thankfully I didn't. Smile

If it were my bike, I would leave it like that. Well, try to remove that red stripe around the front wheels and leave it at that. Is that standard or cheap, tacky rim tape?

Whats the Rolling Eyes for? Objecting to someone's opinion?

In my opinion it is, rim tape stinks of "I'm a tacky bastard, look at my matching leathers"

Okay, I'll maybe consider it's jsut me that thinks that.

Personally I think that R6 looks amazing. It is by far the best R6 colour. I had a sit on one at this years bike show and the matt paint and all the touches makes it look great.

BTW Greg what's wrong with matching leathers ? You know you'll be next Whistle

I do agree that model is stunning, paint jobs a cracker, just prefer black rims.

The fact that I was planning on painting my bike black and getting a set of black leathers has nowt to do with wanting it to match....

Okay?

I've always thought R6's are great looking bikes, but I've heard they leave something to be desired, performance-wise. McGee for one bought one new and traded it in 2 weeks later.

Just needs reving harder then. I'm sure they are plenty fast.

But Aprilia18, I thought RS125s were the dog's, fast as f***, amazingly fast, corner perfectly. Why do you need an R6, that would be a downgrade right? Laughing

(just kidding with ya) Smile

Why rev harder etc when you can get a GSXR or a ZX6R which will give you more from the same effort?

I'm clutching at straws here really, I don't have the experience to pass judgement, just going on what I heard. I'm sure if I rode an R6 it would make me cream anyway. Shocked

Black bikes are a bugger to keep clean. I have a Gixxer 1000 K4z...black, looks the nuts but hard to keep clean. And a mate, Amanda, had 170mph (clock) on a recent trip to Belgium. They are a very quick bike if ridden properly, right through the range.
