Hey, I know the RS has a power valve, but how does it work?

Do you connect it to derestrict it or disconnect it?

Kev

Hi

The power valve is a blade above the exhaust port. It is intended that at low revs it is in a lower position and effectively lowers the exhaust port (good for low down power) and at high revs it lifts up and effectively raises the exhaust port (good for high revs).

It is operated by a cable going to a solonoid on the inside r/h frame rail. This solonoid is controlled by a control unit that is under the pillion seat.

For it all to work the whole lot needs to be connected.

All the best

Keith
