Dont bother mate. I had my bike a month before my test and wanted to go out on it all the time. If you get caught you'll fuck yourself, cos then you'll have no licence and a bike sat there that you'd be illegal to ride on.

Just wait mate, it's better to be safe than sorry really.

It's like the lottery in reverse (but with better odds). Small chance you'll get caught, with massive implications if you do.

You would be riding with no licence, and no insurance. Get caught and you'd lose your bike (they are impounding now) and maybe your licence. You know when you get insurance and they ask about prior convictions? You don't ever want to put "driving without insurance" as the reason Wink

Have an accident where someone is injured and you could even go to prison.

This has been a question i've been stuck over for a while, and it did get to the point where i had the keys in my hand and the bike between my legs. but whatever the temptation is...just dont bother.

Why risk losing everything for a little bit of fun...when you will most likely be able to enjoy it every day for a long long time in just three months..which isn't REALLY that long anyway...

Otherwise..as its been said earlier..you will have the same problem you are in..but you wont be able to drive it for a LONGER time than in the first place...

Just my thoughts, its your choice after all. Thumbs Up

Once again using the lottery as a metaphor, I always think that riding your bike while not fully legal is akin to having a great big finger in the sky pointing at you, holding a sign that says "it's OK to knock this guy off all you idiots out there."

If it's going to happen to you, it'll almost always happen the day after your MOT rus out, or the day before your insurance starts, or while you've not got your proper licence etc etc.

Unfortunately I have been proved right on more occasions than I really like to think about. Sad

Your choice, your risk. Wouldn't do it myself, and always urge my mates not to as well - not that some of them listen. Rolling Eyes

Just get a geared 125, such as a CG.

You could pick one up for £700ish for a reasonable one ie 3-4 years old.

Learn on that, you could even do your test on it.

All you need is a CBT.

Insurance is p*** cheap also, only £160 for me fully comp!!!

The bike was realy good, superb economy and taught me how to ride.

Plus it will do about 65 on the flat, which is only 5 off the limit anyway.
