race plastics?

i intend to do a fair few track days next year, and after my encounter with tarmac i've been wieghting up the possiblity of buying a set of race fairings for my 7R to save the original fairings. been offered a full set with extra seat for £200. just wondered people opinions? i'm not made of money but i figure i will save me a fair bit in the long run as want to keep the 7R for a fair while. do people think its worth it?

Seems a little steep for second hand on a 7r - I would have thought that you could it for les if you keep an eye on ebay etc.
Don't really know how available they are though.

this is what he wants for them haven't offered anything yet, what sort of figure do you think is reasonable? just wonder whether its a good idea from people that have done a lot of days

Depends if you need to ride your bike on the roads, to get to your lift or whatever.

If you're doing that, I'd go for a set of fucked road plastics instead so you can leave the lights etc in place.

very true! and i can't see me buy a van in the next few years and don't want to rent one plus reply on others so it is going to be a case of riding it. plus i already have a track day RH panel Laughing

Yes, I'd go for road plastics probably in your situation.
Can get scratched ones pretty cheaply, not expensive to get looking semi reasonable or leave as they are for that 'ridden in' chic Smile.
