Crash

Not a bike im afraid. Early hours of sunday morning, about an hour and a half ago now, driving down a country lane, my friend driving, hit a sharp bend, hit a bank that drops down into a field and we start rolling.

Injuries, tiny cut on my arm.

Im in a little bit of shock, we were in a saxo vts, boy they pull quite nicely.

The car skidded out on the corner at about 40 mph, nothing my friend could have done, he wasnt going paretically fast, just like you bare around a corner then suddenly you see this sign saying sharp bend, by that time it was too late.

Im fine but just going into shock.

Sorry about the iritic post, just looking for something to chill me out a little, supposed to be up for work in 3 hours :S

Remember people, its getting slippy out there now, stay safe and something i learned tonight, never let any one else drive your vehicles unless they are a named driver on your insurance.

It's not icey, he either drove wide and clipped the bank or he was going way to fast and slid into the bank (unlikely unless it was wet), can't see why a car doing a 40 bend in the wet would slide out of control unless you've got bald tyres, and even then it's unlikely.

The bend is off camber, and is frequently used by farm vehicles. It leads into a downhill section that passes many farm entrances/exits. I have had a couple of moments there myself, it is very slippery even in the dry. It is well sign posted, but anyone cutting it will find themselves in the opposite field, probably on their roof.

Yes ben it is that saxo, nice and mashed isnt it. I recon if it had rolled again we might not have been so lucky and been seriously hurt, also if there was a oncoming car we would have been buggerd, smashed up then rolling.

I think it was more the road conditions and the lack of seeing the corner due to the fog. we were only doing 40 mph

None of us actually blame his driving, it was just really bad luck, yes he could have been going slower, but 40 mph isnt all that quick.

the cars a wreck but every 1 is un injured. The poor saxo it was quite nice too, not chavved up! it was quick though.

And i can still ride, funny enough that was one of the things going through my head at the time when we were rolling, (dont get injured u got ur bike test in a month).

I still dont believe its happend, its all patchy and one second ur thinking oh crap next second ur rolling, and rolling feels like for ever.

no the fog was clear where we were. ie there was none. hes not a boy racer, he drives a standard un modded clio 1.2, hes young and unexperianced. we were doing 40 but it wasnt foggy, i think it was the fact that we didnt see it because we were going up a hill.

Guys give him a break. He had a crash and all he was looking for was some support from us. It happened, wether it was the guys fault or not, he wasn't driving so no need to give him such a hard time. A lot of you are too quick to criticize sometimes, we make mistakes and learn from them.

I agree he isnt the best driver, it could have been avoided but not at the point from when we realised there was a corner in front of us.

It could have been a worse crash if there was an oncoming car, but lucky there wasnt. We got bored and went and smashed all the windows on it and the police turned up asking for the driver.

This is a lesson you lot should never forget, dont let any 1 drive your car or your bike unless they are insured and going to pay for it.

Oh and it was a vtr Embarassed

i always thought it wasa vts.

Still the girl might loose her licnese as well.

Gotmy test booked for the 29th, any tips???

Meh rolled my fiesta back in the uk hit something wet and it went sideways que the 'SHIT!!' being used profusly etc.

Pushed her back on wheels and made the 25miles + drive home. Im dead hard Shocked

My knees were shaking for ages Shocked

yeah, we cant figure out if we were shaking from shock or because it was really cold.

Still cant believe they didnt even bring an ambulance along, they asked if we were alright but we were in shock and pumping with adrenaline so we probably would have felt much any ways.

All i remeber was the noise and my heart beat.

Then it went into auto taking seat belt off dropping on to mate lol, and haveing to climb out the door and jump down pushed it on its wheels and way hay of we went with a cracked windshield dented doors and panels and bent front wheels and crocked steering wheel Confused

Landed on the passenger door btw Wink

was done last christmas so it could have been cold etc Shocked

which caused shaking Shocked

Well i dont, if it is some where i dont knowi go slow,ifits wet i takeit easy, if its dry i go as fast as i can. Biti defo would have been going slower.
