Bolloxed my Thundercat

Feeling a bit sheepish, throttle stuck open on my Thundercat and before i realised what happened bike hit the deck

bodywork on the bike is knackered, exhaust come off but looks ok, snapped peg, indicator, mirror, scratched engine/clutch cover and whatever it was that made the throttle stick open in the first place

i need surgery on my hand but im generally ok but shaken up, looks like im off the road til the new year tho

Its easy for me to think i wd have just pulled in the clutch but i wasnt there.

Good to hear your ok!

A good friend of my dads had a 250cc bike ( not sure on what kind ) and his throttle got stuck on his way to Oban in Scotland and it got stuck going over a bridge and a caravan was coming in the opposite direction and somhow he got decappitated, instant death. He was only 18 at the time and was relativly new tot eh roads

P.S. ask if you can watch when they do the op on your hand I did when they reset my thumb it’s gross interesting and cool all at the same time.

its annoying when the bike lets you down. On my old GS I had a freakish accident when the pad fell out of the front brake... I was breaking relatively gently coming up to a zebra crossing and the front wheel just locked instantly and threw me over one side, I was on the floor before I even knew what happened. Scared the hell out of me because 5 mins before I was caning it down a windy A road on the way back from work, If it had happened then....

To be fair the mechanic did say that he'd never seen that happen in all the hears he's been spannering on any bike.... and my GS did it twice

That is a one off. Probably someone didn't put there disk brake pads back in.

Otherwise Suzuki would have to recall every GS

Had an old blade do that to me, only thing that save me was hitting the kill switch and then grabbing the clutch

after this tho im a bit wary of doing anything to the bike myself now so i may just drop it into a garage and let them do it for a small fortune

also i have random spare fairing bits but in diff colours so i was thinking of respraying the bike as my uncle works in a bodyshop restoring cars/bikes so can get it done for cheap, any suggestions for a new scheme?
