Im Dean im 22 I had a 50cc when I was 16 for a year but then went on to cars but have just got a gsxr400 that im picking up on wednesday after my cbt (it ranout) then im doin my DAS in a few weeks and I should be on the road on my first real bike!!!! great site loads of info on test etc just hope I pass

Welcome to the forum, enjoy your stay and keep it relaxed for your DAS. Having said that, why not go for the restricted license as having a smaller bike to pass on will mean that you'll have an easier test in the sense that you won't have to lug a 500cc 180kg monster beneath you for certain manoevers?

yes, but by law would have to have it restricted to 33 bhp, you could get an r1 now if u wanted, u wouldnt be able to ride it.

On the restrictors problem, you will find many people who should be restricted have accidently had them fall out mysteriously and they knew nothing of it. i cant possibly imagine how that might happen but people do it.

I understand all of this but I have no problem doin my full bike test as I have the money and I can ride anyway + my insurance will be cheaper . wtf is wrong with u people?
