On goes the Rvf400 front end (new head bearings of course) and Cbr600rr front brake system. Forks re build by Maxton engineering

i thought someone would comment on that - I am keeping it only whilst I am rebuilding the bike - I know it looks a state, but thats what british weather and stripping down bikes on it does - dead easy to take the subframe and engine out etc, just lay the bike on its side on the mattress!!!

The tyre is actually brand new. I am fitting the bike up to rolling chassis stage cleaning and refurbing as i go - the front wheel is to come out yet for proper clean up

Typical!

Just as I get the swingarm back with new bearings fitted,
I went and broke my leg- have just spent 8 days in hospital!!!

now the bike wont get put back together until spring!!!! DOH!!!

Surely a broken leg will be a good thing for the bike rebuild.

You can dedicate yourself to it. Even if you can't do the lifting etc, you can do a hell of a lot of polishing/greasing etc.

Rock on, that frame looks awesome aswell.
