Same bike as the mito and rs, much the sameness really. Be different and get one.

After all - it's all about looks on race rep 125's isn't it? Confused

Looks like a cross between an R1 and a 999 designed by some sort of hippie on smack. The only place i would like to see one is in a trash compactor or at the bottom of a very, very, very deep, watery hole.

Well...You did ask Karma

Its a nice bike but the only think that puts me off of it is the fact that the gear lever is made out of plastic. talk about cheap.

Apparently they are easy to derestrict, a fuse needs to be replaced or something like that.

I love the look of the GPR, the only problem with it is that it's physically tiny - the RS50's bigger.
It looks absolutely fantastic, I've not seen how well it goes but it seems to have a power output at the crank almost identical to the NSR's rear wheel output.
The only problem with it is the crappy finish round the can (just a tin can, no marks, no sexy metal surround a'la R1 etc) and the price.

Whether any of the features on the GPR have any practical value (radial brakes [mated to only a single disk Confused] for example, the RS250 doesn't have those and it still stands on it's nose on request)

That said, if you can get daddy to buy you one (no way i'd spend 4 grand on a 125), it'd be great for pulling the lasses outside college.

So it's a mixed bag. It looks fantastic and goes well, but I still have trouble seeing it as anything other than an expensive weekend toy.

(PS - that pillion seat - I can't think of anyone who'd enjoy having that up their bum!)

I'm sure they'll be good bikes. But when you can get as good a bike for about a quarter the price and you're likely to lose that much just on depreciation, you have to think if it's worth the money.

Think what else you could do with £3k of spare money Smile.

Probably the same as what any other 17 year old would do. Blow it on fancy exhausts, anodized bits, go faster stripes, hooch and £300 sweaters. Laughing

NS125, AR125, RG gamma, or TZR125L would be my choice for about £200-500 for the bike and the same again for repairs/restoration, unless i was wanting to spend more on getting one of the nicest looking 125's ever, and in that case id get a late TZR125R, (mini TZR250 V-twin rep).

Noo it's not, i can sit flat footed on my rs50, i can't on a gpr125 or 50. They are slightly taller, not sure about wheelbase though. One thing is for sure, they're blooody light!

Honest mistake - they just LOOK smaller.
They're narrower and have a shorter wheelbase sureley?!

(I've rode an RS50 but not a GPR - they're so expensive i doubt I'd be able to get insured on one Laughing Thumbs Up ) Wink
