Well, further to the thread about worst filtering experiences, I just had mine.

Just left the house to pick my girlfriend up from work, and lately they've been doing some roadworks just up from my house, so there's always a long line of traffic outside my house.
Anyway, just turned onto the road, was filtering past the traffic that was there and noticed the lights were about to change green further up the road so I thought I'd give a bit of stick to get in front. Then all of a sudden I just saw the front of a Mondeo emerge from a gap in the traffic, slammed the anchors on and the bike just twisted itself up as I locked the rear (it's been raining hard here), bike was sliding all left and right, me absolutely shitting myself, by now the Mondeo's getting nearer and I'm not slowing down much, well I dont know how the fuck it happened but as he's pulling out I just managed to sort of skid through the gap behind his car and the car that was sat in the traffic.

Must say my heart was pounding big-time, I was literally 10 foot from his car just thinking "Shit I'm gonna hit him!!!", then all of a sudden I'm past him.

If there's a lesson to be learned here, it's dont ride like a twat A: in the rain and B: When your filtering. Was entirely my fault 'cos I was going too fast, just lucky as fuckery that I didn't hit him.

Shocked

Just lucky that I got away with it this time, but just goes to show how quick things can go pear shaped.

Really scared me, but made me feel confident in the bike considering how out of shape I got and the fact that it didn't let go. Take my hat off to the car driver though, I'm not sure whether he actually saw me to be honest, but due to the fact he kept on coming I somehow managed to get through the gap. If he'd frozen and stopped where he was I'd of been scraping myself up off the floor.

I'm glad that you had the 'Reflex' to attempt and go to the other side of the car. Most people just keep going until they fly over the hood.

LOL, seriously people must of either thought I'm a seriously skilled rider or some sort of stuntman, it was absolutely mad how I managed to get through the gap with the rear at about a 30 degree angle.

Unlucky good that you're alright. Why do you think the back wheel locked up so much? Bit too heavy footed in the conditions?

Probably, but then seeing the front of a Mondeo just appear about 30 foot in front of you kind of makes all the emergency stop shit go out the window, I mean it was soaking wet and I was on road markings, so quite how I managed to stay on the thing is beyond me.

Maybe I should start going to church.
