Looking for opinions on what exhaust cans to get.

They (pair) will be for a matt black ducati 900ss.

Carbon round £400
Carbon oval £450
Satin ti round £450
Satin ti oval £475

It quite like the look of carbon, esp. on a black bike, but would prefer oval, but then for another £25 i could get ti.

So really, it's ti or carbon??

Any thoughts?

Cheers.

Titanium will need more cleaning attention (imo looks better), carbon will require none, and is probably lighter (allthough it will make tat all difference on a road bike)...

I'd get the round ones unless you need oval cans Eh? and carbon if your bike is really black, silverish cans on an all black bike is gonna look weird...

If it's a Ducati make sure theyre either Termignoni or Leo Vinci.

Ti looks nice to me. As it's one either side go for oval, will seem (and perhaps be) slimmer.

Neither of those will rust in anything resembling a hurry, it's the downpipes and connectors that you need to worry about the most. Stainless steel, (chromed if you can be arsed with cleaning) is best for those, but it will still rot from the inside. Mild steel is okay providing it gets an annual coat of B&Q barbecue best. Smile

Carbon cans scream 'Tart!' to me. Oval cans look better than round.

No Termi's Sad

Replacing the original Duke Remus 1's due to L/H being damaged.

I'd quite like it to look a bit slimmer, it's a bit porky, I'm tempted by the ovals.

They are satin ally at the moment which look ok. The carbon could either look great, or tacky.

Grrr. I'll have a look at them in the flesh at the NEC.

Thumbs Up
