Basically I have a front sprocket from a CBR400 NC23, would it fit on my ZX6R? I know that rear sprockets differ but do front ones?

Ive just changed my front sprocket from a 16 tooth to a 15 tooth.
This improves acceleration but lowers top end slightly.
If your speedo is driven from the gearbox, your speedo will also overread slightly.

My GSXR 1100 shares common front sprockets with the bandits, GSXFs, Inazumas etc that all have variations on the same motor.

However a GSXR1000 sprocket wouldnt fit as the output shaft is different

Just depends on the size of the chain, if they both use the same chain it will fit on ok.

Nope, very wrong. Lots of variables, such as the offset of the sprocket, speedo drives, type of splines locating it, method of bolting the sprocket in place, etc.

All the best

I had a quick look last night hoping that they might be the same but they were not Sad I checked a few websites and it looks like a front sprocket is around £20! dang.
