if not their should be a name for it Sad anyone else had it after a long days riding your fingers tend to twitch by themselves from lots of break and clutch work.

I think you're thinking of 'carpal tunnel syndrome' but I thought that was numbing or pins and needles in the hands from vibration.

Just your muscles are going through the same motions as they have been for along period of time. You could call it RSI, but not really as that's about the damage your hand gets.

I'd say it's closer to shellshock, like when a war veteran hears a loud noise they think 'bomb!' and flinch. Same here, but people are just still thinking about pulling in that clutch lever.

I am drunk, sorry if this doesn't make sense. Very Happy

The correct medical term is "Stopmoreof tenumuppetus".

yeh,,, and the new name for viagra is macoxaflopin Very Happy

the numbness is also due to constant pressure on the bars, due to the lean forward position, causing lack of circulation to the hands

I have to say I don’t suffer with this at all maybe it is because I have forearms like Popeye maybe it from year of sustained self abuse or maybe it is down to the stile of bike and the way I ride.

Still if you are getting these “Bikers Twitches” there are a few things you can do to like eating bananas the potassium they contain is very good for the muscles after and during exercise you can also strengthen get the muscles in your forearm to become more used to the continued strain of maintaining a strong grip. Simple things playing with a squeeze ball while watching TV and the like. Over time your forearm muscles will become accustomed to continual strain of a long ride and you can say goodbye to “Bikers Twitch”

when I used to ride motocross we used to get "the claw". Your hands lock up due to holding on too tight. Funny thing is you can't open it to grab the brake.
