I shd have made him an offer early cos it sounds like he wasnt hoping for more than £2500 as he said hed be willing to swap for a 98r1

i could have sold it on at a profit if i had got him to cancel the auction

i doubt i wd have managed that tho

Is the RG500 quick? I rode an RD500 and was dissapointed to find that it was no quicker than a 600. I bet it would handle though.

125 2stroke 1 exhaust
250 2 stroke 2 exhausts
500 2 stroke 4 exhausts

cos each cylinder has to have a separate expansion chamber and exhaust

They are a bit quicker, but remember you are talking about 20 year old bikes in a fairly low state of tune.

While that bike could be fun, it could also be a bit of a nightmare to own. For example, trying to get a clutch cable made up.

All the best

Keith
