I was bored yesterday so was curious as to how this site is hosted and such. I managed to find a site statistics page run by Amazon (can't remember the name) that had some interesting information.

Managed to track things down blackholehosting (korn owns this i believe?) and to an ISP in america (www.ev1.net), but I'm curious as to the full set of details as to how and where it's hosted, connection speed etc.

I know Korn runs a few other (ahem) sites, so I am just curious as to how the whole enterprise is set up!

That is all - a genuine curiosity if anyone was suspicious!

I thought I might as well let the forum benefit - there may be someone else out there who is as curious as me - it's not private after all.

Rolling Eyes

Hush!

This site is different to others, Korn didn't trundle off to a hosting company and ask them for 30mb of hosting - I'm just curious as to how his array of sites is set up, where the back bone is, who provides it etc.

There may also be other people on the forum who are curious, as I am.

I don't want to know so that I can do it myself, I am just intreigued as to how this site is set up.

BCF is hosted on a dual 2.4Ghz xeon cpu, 2Gb ram, 346Gb disk Dell Poweredge machine running Redhat Enterprise Linux which also hosts a number of my other, err, 'internet ventures' as well as stuff I host for other customers. It lives in a tier-1 datacenter in Houston, Texas managed by EV1 and it's connected to their backbone network via 100Mbps ethernet.

Some links to keep you busy:
