very cool, but not really practical for me

spiked tyres arent gonna be much use the rest of the year

I don't think snows the problem.. it's the ice etc under it Wink If no ice then it should be no different to mud really... as far as I know anyway!

I expect they'd be ok on lightly packed fluffy snow.
I expect they'd be crap on on hard travelled over by many cars icey snow.

You'd be better off with racing wets on motard rims. I used them all through last winter and they were great on snow. Ice is another story tho. They only thing thats gonna help on Ice is skills.

The last time I rode on snow down on Dartmoor was on my KMX 125, that had Metzeler enduro tyres (see pic) there were not up to much in deeper fresh snow but were very good on the harder packed stuff.

Not even sure you can still get them.

I've got a Metzler rear semi on my KLR. My dad got it from a tyre shop around here about a month ago for £150 so they're around but I don't know about that specific tyre.
