If you're getting it from cold then probably not fully firing when you start up, the motor chimes in properly after a second or so and BANG the unburnt fuel goes off. ____________________ I used to be indecisive but now I'm not quite so sure. |

No problem. Many bikes have a little backfire when starting from cold. Mine does when I have had it stood all weekend, and I have wheeled it around cleaning it or something. Just fuel leaking into the exhaust section.
It's nothing to worry about, although I occasionally get a right snorter, which leaves my ears ringing and all the neighbour's windows rattling, dogs barking...
just part of the fun of motorbikes... ____________________ Suzuki SV650 naked Blue curvy with Givi Screen and G force can. |
