Easy CBR600 question

At the risk of sounding like a complete n00b, is the digital fuel meter only supposed to come on when you are getting low on fuel? I do have the owners manual but it is under the seat, and it is pissing down outside. Plus I still haven't properly worked out how to disarm the alarm so you can get under the seat Embarassed

My CBR600 is the fx/fy model and i think that you are talking about the fuel light, it is just a yellow light that comes on when you are low on fuel.

It will do 20miles with the light on BTW

AJ, all the models after yrs and my bike have a digital fuel guage, not just a light.

would be nice to have a fuel guage Wink

i believe it should be on all the time for you to see but i'm not a 100%

Hi,

It depends what year and cbr model it is. I ride a cbr600f4i (2003)model and the digital fuel thingy goes on when your running on low fuel. I also road a 2005 cbr600rr last week and it has a digital fuel gauge that's always on. When your on low fuel a low fuel light turns on right next to the neutral light. Hope this helps.

Yeah I ride a 2003 model, same as you. You can see how long I have had it that I haven't rode it enough yet for the fuel guage to come on Smile
