had my first help from a biker!!

as have read quite a few posts of people saying about bikers

how they stop and help if in trouble and things like that and ok until now i just thought u are the lucky ones!! but today was flying up the m5 when wouldnt you no it some how had a flat tyre!! didnt realise until got to tamworth (a place called moto)

now the wounder i had no phone on me, no money, nothing i was completely stranded!

and then to my rescue a bloke who had just been the motorshow pulled up, a fellow biker, helped me got the tyre back up, and directions to a garage to get a new tyre, another bloke even got out a sat navigation system to help me along, i got to the tyre place and must have been a dodgy velve as it didnt go down in the slightest, but still got a new tyre.

just thought i would share my experience Laughing

and good for you guys who stop to help unlike the 50 to 100 cars that just drove last staring!!!!!

I stopped for someone today, went past him too fast first time and thought sod it ill just take the roundabout and and get back there as i felt like a tit for not stoping.
Poor guy had lost all his engine oil, made sure he had phoned for help, had alittle chat and he told me how good bikers had been to him by offering help etc. He sounded like he was suprised by all the help offered, think he was foreign so im not sure how good they are abroad for these type's of things.

But atleast i stopped and offered my phone to him
Very Happy

oh and i just done 200 miles for no reason but hell i enjoyed it!!

I had it today when the bike broke down, my old man headed off to find some jump leads, and i sat there while loads of cars went past...

started pushing the bike home while loads of cars drove past staring..

Then a guy on an old GSXR stopped and had a chat with me, then a van stopped and asked me if i needed any fuel? Wow i thought, i cager that cares! Then found out he had two motocross bikes in the back in transit!

Made perfect sense!

A biker pulled me over to tell me my headlight was flickering slightly, told me the bulb might go shortly. That was about a week ago, thanked him, had a quick chat, goods a good 'un. Nice bloke, 30's I think.

Headlights gone completely, dont know what it is - guessing the bulb but it doesnt look blown.

Never seen a broken down biker in my life
If i was in the car with someone else (not driving) i would feel guilty if we had to go on by. Although i did see a lad once infront of the collage furiously kicking his bike over without any avail. There was already another biker on the scene. Felt guilty, but he was already in the town centre anyways!

I stopped for a bloke on the M25, he was pushing a zx6. I had just picked up my trackbike, which was on the trailer.
There was nothing i could do really, except offer my phone, if i had a bigger trailer i would've stuck his bike on it.
He was really surprised that i had stopped, since it was night time and i was on my own, but i'd like to think that if i was ever stuck a fellow biker would stop and help. Smile

Tamworth services is a good place to break down, usually 1 or 2 bikes about it. Thumbs Up

When I first started riding pillion on the back of my hubby it tickled me how all bikers nodded at each other as its something car drivers just dont do.
Bike riders definately are more curtious and a nicer breed it seems than cagers even if they dont nod at me as I am still on L plates....cant wait for my first nod, lol!
