How Do I Bring A Shine?

Hey,

Was just looking at my bike there! Noticed my exhaust is looking, well a bit coppery browny coloured!

Ive got a NSR 125 R1 Standard Exhuast. On my recent days off work ive been trying to fix it up.

So the question is.....

How do i bring the shine back to my exhaust?

It doesnt need to be sparkling just anything other that that coppery colour ( not very atractive )

try autosol, clean the exhaust, dry it, then rub some autosol into the metal, leave it for about 15 min, and using a clean cloth, buff to a shine.

lol i dont know hay all you over in england love hallafords so much, ive never even heard of it here in N.Ireland lol

You should be able to get it from any car shop at all, probably even in any good hardware shop, but try a car c=shop first. Im guessing that hallafords place would sell it if they sell bike stuff.

it shouldnt be more than about 3 or 4 £ for a tube of it.

not only is autosol good for polishing metal, its good for cleaning rust and gunk off metal too.

+1 for autosol. I swear by it. Not sure if you can get it from Halfords, but I expect you can pick it up in most car shops.

A good bodge job is to use metal polish from the house. Just buff it out, it leaves a shiny finish but won't do as good a job.
