ok i put a art race can on my zxr400 about 2 month ago, it makes the bike run better but makes it have a big flat spot from 3000rpm to 6000rpm.....

now my bike is 33bhp so could i take it to one of these dyno thingys to have the mix changed or wont it work on a 33bhp bike Confused .........

plus if i do could someone tell me the cost of having it done...

thanks good karma to good helpers........... Mr. Green :karma:

No point re-jetting until you have the restrictors removed, as with them in place, you are hardly getting any air through in the first place, so at the moment, your probably running very rich (unless carbs are re-jetted to suit restrictors??).

Get the restrictors out, then get it on a dyno. Most charge by the hour, then + parts used etc...

Thumbs Up

Hi

You can play with the jetting, but be prepared to have the mickey taken by the dyno operators.

The way the restrictors work on a CV carbed bike they should not really affect the mixture. However you might well have leaned the mixture off with the race can. Possibly try lifting the carb needles a touch and see it that improves things (doubt they are adjustable, so use a thin washer under each needle to shim them up a touch). If it improves then you know you are on the right track, if it gets worse then you know it is running rich.

All the best

Keith

Take the restrictors out you big girls blouse. Hairdriers have more acceleration than 33bhp bikes. Laughing

Twisted Evil I have never seen the point in 33bhp, its best to either have a bike that makes a max of 33bhp, or just to wait!
