 |
|
Hi
I have just brought my first bike, a 1998 Honda CG125, the bike is running fine apart from a problem with the indicators.
The indicators come on correctly, they just dont flash apart from after an especially long run at higher revs.
The battery seems to hold a charge for 24 hours, though not especially strong--> the neutral indicator lights dimly when the ignition is turned on, before starting, after 24hrs standing (should it hold a stronger charge than this?)
All the other lights work fine, nice and bright, but the indicators can be a bit dim at low revs.
I assume the problem is either the flasher unit, a poor connection, the battery or the alternator is not working fully, can anybody point me in the right direction?
If it is the flasher unit, any idea where this is on the bike and any idea where i can order a new one? (note to self... must buy haynes manual!)
Oh, and one last question, should the speedo be back-lit? riding the bike at night can be a bit dodgy without, around speed cameras.....
cheers ____________________ Chadwick |

If you Want to lift the seat? then remove both the side panels, one has the air box behind it, the other has the battery i think the battery is in the left... Any way there is two bolts should be a gold sort of colour 12mm i think which are just under the edge on of the seat remove them and of comes the seat. Remember to slide it back to remove. ____________________ YAMAHA YZF 1000cc THUNDERACE- 'ƃuıןןǝds ʇnoqɐ ʇıɥs ɐ ǝʌıƃ ʇuop ı |

Told you it was a really blonde question... sorry (woops didnt meant to post the question twice either- I am actually blonde btw....) that would make sense that the seat doesnt lift... I was given an old manual for the bike for the model before that claims you can lift the seat by pulling some catches, catches that dont exist on my model... There was a reason for my madness!!! Cool I think all of my worldly problems are sorted now, thankyou!! ____________________ Chadwick |
