IMPORTANT BIKE SECURITY ISSUES!

Bought an almax immobilser 3 chain at the nec bike show as the seller alex & his wife maxine where showing how quick & easy it is to bolt crop a top brand bike chain.

The worst part was that i could see pieces of bolt croped chain in a pile on the floor and the links on the chains which were cut looked very similar to the chains i have which cost nearly £100 each.

he bolt croped a chain before my very eyes in 8.9 seconds which i found informative and very very scary.

They stated that there chain cannot be bolt croped or freeze smashed, which i hope i never have to find out.

the chain cost me £150 and weighs a ton and it has massive links and was recommended by ride magazine and is featured in the latest MCN magazine.

I would recommend that you all get one because when you physically see with your own eyes how quick and easy he bolt croped the chains from other well known brands such as oxford, data tool, motrax, it becomes no laughing matter! Shocked

And the thing is i know many of you have these kinds of chains believing they will do the job and from what ive physically seen they do nothing, you might as well leave the bike unlocked with the keys in the ignition thats how useless the chains from oxford, data tool,abus, motrax are! Shocked

Now having said that any one interested in buying a 1.5metre abus chain or a 2metre motrax chain cos i dont want them and will never use them! Razz

did he sell you a chunky ground anchor to match ?
if the bike isnt chained to anything solid, theives can just pick it up and put it in a van

I might be interested in your old chains but postage would be a bitch ? are you selling old ground anchor too or is that stuck in the ground ?

in looking to see where you are on your profile, i notice you are a tolkien fan. I used to live next to a family who were related to the tolkiens and get an income still. They had a big payout from the films and the lad spent some of it on bikes.

however i didnt see on your profile where you live
