Anyone know where I can get it, got a bike and a car already, but since becoming a biker, wife has adopted car as her own.

First frost due this weekend and as I commute daily by work in a hilly area (where we do get snow), I am going to retire the bike.

What I am looking to buy is a cheap car just for winter, I don't need nowt special, somet I can sell come March.

I've phoned my bike insurer and car insurer, but they can only offer me a 12 month policy, whereas I only need it till March I reckon.

Anyone got any experience of this.

If you cancel your policy you'll get a refund of what's left.

If you buy a month at a time, you'll pay a premium premium (ie, more than getting a yearly premium) for having it so short term.

Not directly answering your question, but I hope it helps.

also if you cancel a 12 month policy most companies have an administration charge that is probably going to be as much as the policy on a cheap winter banger.
get a cheap car and a cheap policy and keep the policy for 12 months no matter what you do with the car.because next year you will probably be in the same boat and want a winter car and you will have kept your no claims bonus going.
