Turning

Generally speaking, what is the correct technique to use when turning? (IE navigating a bend in the road)

I've been told lots of things, like countersteer, pushing down on the pegs with your feet, shifting your bodyweight...

I'm not sure which one is 'correct' and my corner feels a little dodgy.

I usually corner by shifting my body weight.

You'll naturally countersteer.. technique depends on what speed your at and what kind of corner it is (and even what condition the surface is)

Whatever you learn on your 100kg 125 will sort of apply to anything larger, but it will be easyer, more stable with greater weight but more work to chuck it about, less frightening in the gusty winds too..


For now do whats comfortable, as long as your under under control and carrying decent speed then theres nowt to worry bout
