Opening your headlight assembly up....

Ok, this is for all of you guys that have cracked open your headlight assembly before:

What is the best method to use in order to get your headlight assembly apart? I've heard that the oven is the best way, but I don't know what temp. or amount of time.

Assuming you mean the glue that holds the clear plastic to the backing plastic then an oven can be a problem as it heats up everything. I'm guessing that either the lens or the bulb holding part is damaged?

I'd say that hot water would be better than an oven, I've done this once and that worked for me.

Make sure you use a rubber based glue to join the parts afterwards, superglue is too brittle.
