Might be going to look at a few supermoto ones of these next week (not for me but for a mate), does anyone know that common problems they suffer from and what to look out for, hes got about £3000 to spend. Thumbs Up

Hello!

Come and see my KTM Supermoto! (it's in the Exchange and Mart section and going for 2k, might be just what your mate is after! I'm in Bournemouth).

Things to look out for:
Poor Supermoto Conversions (Talon hubs and Excel Rims being the best)

Kickstarts can be a sod (If your mate is a slim fella get him to go for an electric start)

Usually stuff: engine noises, poor brakes ets.

Most Moto's don't usually come with 'fsh' so you'd have to go with your nose.

Honda XR's (400/600) often come with 'the most reliable' tag but KTM's are by far the coolest! Razz

Service intervals can be a sod

Hope this helps a little, have a search through Supermoto section, there's loads of 'what supermoto' threads. Also keep an eye out for Mt Tattoo, he's a bit of a single's guru and knows his stuff!
