Posted: 16:09 - 18 Nov 2005 Post subject: Cheap Hydralic Lift Platforms? |
 |
|
I'm after a hydralic lifting platform, so I can work on my bike without the pain of lying on a concrete floor.
Does anyone know where I can find one for £250 or less?
I've seen adverts for them before, but now I can get one, I can'tfind the dam adverts and can only find lifts for £500!
I'm not after the ones that lift at the centre of the bike, like a big troley jack, I'm after the ide on platforms with small ramp at the end and front wheel locking device.
Any clues folks? ____________________ TL1000R Parts For Sale! |

I should imagine he wants to lift his bike a bit more than the 3" he will get off that pallet truck
Although having said that screwfix (www.screwfix.com) sell a high level (800mm max height) pallet truck for £350 which I suspect could be modded to work. Although it'd probably work out about £500 by the time you'd bought the relevent metal and got some-one to weld it all up. |

The Machine Mart lift is £350 (£300 if you went to a VAT free day but that wont be until about March time), I've got one and it's the best accessory you can have, no more bending, no more aching back...bliss.
It's 400kg safe working load so will take near enough any bike, look for one with a decent loading as you may trade up to a heavier bike at some stage and you want enough capacity, looked after right it'll outlast all your bikes.
There are other cheaper ones out there but not usually self contained hydraulic rams, they use a trolly jack to lift and really aren't as substantial as ram ones.
