indicators

i ahve just bourght a mbk ovetto and it passed the m.o.t i took the bike out for a spin when i noticed that the indicators dont work
the problem is that one minite they do and one minite they dont
also i am not sure but are the indicators supposed to flash or stay at a constant light?
could someone please tell me what could be wrongand how i could resolve this problem without taking the bike to a garage please

hi, first, they should flash

Check all the wires that come out of the indicator right back as far as you can and makesure everythings plugged in, and secure

ive tried all that ive done everything down to cleaning the bulbs lol
ive been told that it could have something to do with a relay??? i dont have a clue if it is are they easy enough to buy?

yes it sounds like the relay, have the indicators been changed at all?? its only a small black thing with 2 or 3 pins on it, and only a few pound.
Have you got a manual for the bike, it would state where the relay is.
