Are they worth getting for the winter? And does anyone know which stores stock them (Halfords?) Looking to get one but dont want to buy online.

there is someone on bcf who has one but has never used it.

ideally you wd buy his.

they are normally £40 so £20 for his 2nd hand one maybe

i got mine from hein gerick in dudley

Im not sure you need one unless you have a problem with your battery really.

Mine wasnt charging due to a faulty rectifier.

well i bought a mito recently and they'd put a really cheap battery in. a lot of the time i'm riding at night and with the cold weather setting in tried to start it today and wouldn't budge Confused

pretty sure its lost charge again wouldnt even bump start. I heard the alternator is shite on the mito as well?

I bought myself a solar powered tricke carger about a month ago after a number of jump starts after about a week of non use - now it always fires up first time - I can well recommend it

Any local bike shop should have one for you.

I have one and find it very useful when the bike hasnt been used for a long time.

If a battery aint used for a few months it starts to break down and loses its charge, this is even worse if the bike has an alarm on.

A good little investment even if you don't need it right now.
