Why do you want big?

I would go with as small as possible for a single bike - a single rail bike trailer should be fine and will definitely be less hassle to tow than a big wooden one.

hey, the size of the trailer doesn't really matter all that much to be honest its the weight of the trailer that counts, but you shouldn't really have any trouble my friend took my cr500 out to a field in a trailer towed by a 1.1 corsa and it had no problems Thumbs Up

There is limit to the weight that a car can tow and its different for every model, a good trailer manufacturer should be able to tell you.
Any trailer over 750kgs gross weight must be fitted with working brakes.
When loading a trailer make sure that the wieght on the towbar is between 40 and 50kgs, don't make it too heavy or too light, either way you'll have handling problems.
The heavier the car, the heavier the trailer you can pull safely.
Insurance companies can be funny about trailers, especially if involved in an accident.
Make sure you have lights, mudguards and brakes if required, the traffic police love pulling trailers, another easy target.

If I remember rightly the caravan club recommend you do not exceed 85% of the kerb weight of your car.

This would easily exceed the maximum nose weigh allowed on the tow bar, so wouldn't recommend this what so ever.

Please bare in mind these can easily have a maximum authorised weight of between a 1.5t to over 3.5t's.

Also don't forget to check your licence, if you passed your car test recently you'll only be allowed to tow a trailer up to 750kg MAM, before you need to take a seperate driving test (Cat B+E)

Hope this helps
