Hey I got a winter hack and tried to insure it for say 6 months(expect a long winter?). Anyway I tried a few different companies (okay 3) and none of them would even entertain anything less than 12 months insurance. So I just went ahead anyway... My question is, has anyone managed to get an insurance company to quote for less than 12 months? And since my insurance on the Winter hack was less than £85 I paid in full doh, not instalments... but I seem to remember that you can't sell a bike your still insured on;; unless you cancel the insurance... If I cancel the insurance they charge £30 admin fee!!! Is it just me or do they have us by the balls?|?|?

If you get rid of your insurance you're entitled to a percentage back, depending on when you do it, but there are admin fees involved, so yes that's a bit gay, if it's a low premium.
Too late now obviously, but you can get 'pay as you go' insurance from I think it's www.ebikeinsurance.co.uk for this very purpose, but the quotes I've seen from others on here are high.
Anyway, what are you bitching about, £85 for a years insurance?!
