Wrong, I know, but does anyone have a helmet going spare that I could have cheap or free?

I'm almost completely skint and want to get out on my bike, I haven't had it on the road yet, I'm going to insure it for Friday so I can take it for an MOT, but dont have a helmet or any money to get one for at least another 2 weeks!

Not bothered if its been dropped or anything!!

Oh, close to Durham would be a must as well, I'd need to be able to collect!

[puts on flame proof jacket and hides!!]

have you considered ebay? you should be able to pick one up cheap on there.

although i would be careful of that, you could get a very bad helmet, and if you hit the concrete you want your head as safe as it can be.

I'm thinking about ebay for a new one (nitro jobbie) but the weekend is getting close so ebay might be too late (also if I have to pay for a cheap second hand one it would have to be for peanuts!)

Just buy a new £30 nitro for now. If you seriously can't strech to £30 for a lid then you won't be able to afford to run a bike.

I just cant afford it right now, I've just bought the bike, paid for my cbt, got enough money for petrol and bait til my next pay day and got the money for the bike mot put aside, all other money in the bank is to cover my phone bill and insurance

I could wait another couple of weeks to get a helmet and test the bike, I'm just very impatient! Laughing

Why do you think that?

If it fails, it waits a week or two for another, if it passes its all good!

What head size are you?

I've a large one that I got free at the NEC that I don't use.

But like other posts, cost of your ride down, you could buy a £30 cheapy.

Up to you, if your down in W.Yorks let us know.
