Ok, my bike test is on wednesday, but even though its only monday im still bricking it!
found it hard to sleep last night, feel sick when i think about my test, and just generall symptoms of nervousness.
does that fishermans friend, or rescue remedy work for nerves? or do you think a wee whiskey might help.
im terrified that i might fail my test, as the next 1 wont be until january sometime!
got a bike lesson later today, and i just know im going to botch it somehow!
why isnt there a tablet to subdue the chemicals released when your nervous. ____________________ My Bikes - - - Royal Enfield 500 with sidecar, VFR800, CBR600FX,

January isn't too far away .
How about finding the exact date there's another test available (check other local towns as well, as they may have shorter lists) - then at least you know you've got say four weeks to wait until you can redo your test if you do fail.
Even six or seven weeks isn't /that/ long, especially if you want to get some practice in. |

Try some Rescue Remedy.
https://www.bachflower.com/BFE-RescueRem.jpg
I used to get very nervous before concerts and exams and carried a bottle around with me.
Two drops on your tongue and a few minutes later you feel more relaxed.
Before you go to sleep, count your breathing. Count to 10 breathing in, hold your breath for 10, and then, most importantly, breath out slowly for 10. ____________________ Avast! Pirates ahoy!

Yea, but you have a better bike than me so we're quits
You could also try some worry dolls - my (slightly strange, but wonderful) mother swears by them
https://store1.yimg.com/I/gmcatalog_1871_11717194
You tell your worries to them, then put them back in their little bag, and sleep with them under your pillow. During the night they go all magical and take away your worries
Personally I think her worries are more likely to disappear because she has the memory of a goldfish, usually induced by alcoholic beverages. ____________________ Avast! Pirates ahoy!

Hey, I tried a few calming tablets for mine but they all seemed to make me drowsy, not what you want whilst riding a bike. Am sure you'll be fine mate just keep your head up and concentrate, you'l soon forget about the nerves , Dan ____________________ Don't ride it, RAG IT!! |

I made so many cock ups in my second test due to nerves ,turning the wrong way ,not turning at all .........pulling out in front of a car ..........and I passed
Good luck dude |

I used some calming tablets called kalms (non drowsy herbal stuff). I also ate a banana right before the test. Goodluck. ____________________ Cbr1100xx blackbird gone, mk4 golf gt tdi chav now

I bought some Kalms from Boots and started taking them a few days before my test, on the morning of the test I was still nervous but no where near as nervous as I thought I would have been and on the actual test I was totally relaxed. Now whether that was down to the Kalms or not I couldnt say but it can't harm to give them a try.
Good luck

i was really nervous before my test.
the way i calmed down was. at the point where the examiner says to you warm the bike up when they go to get on thier bike or into the car in my case.
i just did some controlled deep breathing.
and focused on how i was going to ride. how i was going to do live savers, the u-turn e.t.c.
i passed with 3 minors and i bet you i was more nervous than you are.
that will work just calm yourself down at that point i had a couple of minutes to focus.
best of luck |

It's bad for the 1st few turnings then you will start to enjoy it. Hopfully you won't have to do any stops or big turns for a few minutes as it's only like 20 minutes long & it flies past.
Good luck mate |

Although you probably won't see this in time, Good Luck!
My mate swears by Strawberry Yoghurt before taking a big test, I had some before my car test and my second bike test and I've passed on those occasions. |
