Also, in my mind, he should have been prosecuted. It was a case of prosecuting for the wrong thing though. Sounds like a wanker, speeding like that without insurance. Actually, put those together and I might be tempted to prosecute for recklessness.

They live in a different country - looks like simple regional variation to me, we all know different areas of the US have strange dialects.

If we had judges like that in england i would blast my gsxr600k1 up the M1 all the time doing 120-160 with only the fear of crashing and dying, whereas normally i have the fear of being stoped by police and crashing! Shocked

i still think to this day that roads outside of cities should have 90-100mph speed limit like the A9 that is one heck of a long road and most of it is 60MPH when you are doing a 4hour drive 60 is just 2 slow. Fair enough round cities the speed limit should be dropped as the congestion of traffic and pedestrians.

Actually, 'the 160 mph copper' was cleared of dangerous driving, as it was deemed that speed alone does not constitute the offense. That pissed the CPS and the saftey Nazis off big time.

Many other people (including on this forum) were miffed he 'got away' with it. On the quiet an important precedent was set in the courts.
