Mini indicators - who buys this shit?

They really are shit because

- They are not water tight

- They look shite

- You cant see them very well

- You cant get the bulbs out to replace them when they blow!

The whole idea of a turn signal is to show other road users you are turning, not a fashion item.

My new bike came with these bits of shit bolted too it and frankly they look absolute cack!

Just mashed the shite out of one trying to get a bulb out.

Cant wait to get some standard ones sorted out!

Surely the decentmini indicators don't have flaws like this? I agree they shouldn't be a fashion item, but the standard ones are a bit bulky, ain't they!

You just need a small flat head screwdrive to get at the bulbs, to poke the lense off, or you can rip the unit out as its's held in with rubber. So it will go back in fine after.

They are shit.

Quite simply put, a pinprick of light does not catch your eye. A proper big orange glow does. I see them at night, but not a hope in the daytime.

Hyperbright orange LEDs will catch your eye as much as a huge filament bulb, and look twice as cool. Personally, i'd go for indicators in the mirrors at the front, and smooth over the holes in the fairing:up: Motrax do the mirrors, halfords do the knifing putty!

I have to confess to having both mini indicators on the front and undertray built in on the rear BUT I found that if you go for the orange lenses instead of the clear or iridium they are bright enough to be seen in the day fine.

As for changing the bulbs yes I agree it can be a tw@t to do but I mainly did it for one other reason, I have to wheel the bike through a narrow alleyway and I can fold the mirrors in but the front indicators kept bashing the sides. Still have the originals and plan to put them back on when I sell it.

I noticed that mine were letting in water. However further in vestigation revealed that the tw@t that put them on, had put them on the wrong side The wee holes for taking lenses off were on top. Thus letting in water.

As for changing the bulbs, I just pull off the diamond shaped casing/lense and push it back on when i finished.









And yes... I was the twat that put them on the wrong way

These have screws to get the lens off.

Just you cannot get the bulb out. as there is no room to get your fingers in!

I've changed the Honda ones on my old Blades but I've left the current ones standard. This is mainly because I haven't put any soft luggage on the Blade yet and may never do so.

I went for the orange Motrax diamond ones and they were fine, visible and easy to change bulbs on.
