Does their breakdown service cover you 24 hours a day or just through working hours? I'm going to take out insurance with them tomorrow. How long have they taken to reach you on a call out on average? ____________________ -=[Sam/b]=- cx500's the only way to travel, we do it in style just like jimmy saville

Do they have their own recovery service or do they use another company? I'm wondering wether it would be quicker to get hold of the number to the nearest recovery unit/office they use (newport in my case) and keep that number in the phone instead. Can't see anything on the website I might ask them tomorrow. ____________________ -=[Sam/b]=- cx500's the only way to travel, we do it in style just like jimmy saville

aye carol nash came out with a good online quote (much much cheaper than the over the phone quote I got from them) - 171.50 with breakdown cover. Closest to that was bennets with 178.70. All the rest were crap quotes (footmanjames, KJM, eBike, ncionline).
It amazed me that you can give one broker the exact same details you've given al lthe others and they'll give you rediculous quotes with the same people, I think carol nash use KJM but I got a quote with them using another broker of 345.29 cRaZy ____________________ -=[Sam/b]=- cx500's the only way to travel, we do it in style just like jimmy saville

CN recovery works 24h throughout the UK and Europe. They use local contractors a lot, and seem to take no longer than the AA or RAC (often quicker). Who you get can vary a bit, some of the people are prepared to have a go at fixing it, others just come with a recovery vehicle.
Unlike the basic recovery you get from the AA and the RAC, the CN recovery takes you and the bike home or to the garage of your choice no matter how far away this is. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. that's actually a big load off my mind for when attending all the meets and rallies after xmas i'll be busying myself with. Bennets offer two services, one that will only take you 10 miles to the nearest garage which is useless or pay a little more a month and they'll take you home. ____________________ -=[Sam/b]=- cx500's the only way to travel, we do it in style just like jimmy saville

For sure. A mate of mine got recovered from the Isle of Lewis to Edinburgh once. Took three recovery wagons. One took him to the ferry, another one met him at the other end and took him some of the way then they swapped him over for the last leg. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. They dropped him off at the ferry terminal and called in to say when it would be arriving at the other end so there would be someone there to meet him. You have to buy your own ticket but he had the other half of his return anyway. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen.
