Hi

Got a set fitted to Charlottes GPZ500 and ZZR600. Work well. I have wired them up using a relay triggered from the rear brake light switch power feed.

Round town you have to turn them down as they get too hot for comfort.

All the best

Keith

I reckon muffs may be better as they keep the backs of your hands warm, while heated grips warm your palms.

Never used heated grips tho so I'm guessing.

funnily enough i was at quatt cafe (biker cafe) the other day and a bloke asked me about my muffs. He had come over cos he was curious about them.

I should carry some spares around with me as when we had finished chatting I think he wanted some.

Come to think of it, I could have just sold him mine and got some more.

He might not have had cash with him, but I could have asked.

Well if it happens again I'll know what to do.

Its good to have a product you believe in.
I have sold some real rip off crap over the phone stuff I would never buy, but I could really believe in the product with muffs.

The jump from interested punter to getting them to part with their cash may be the tricky bit tho.

I can relate to that.

I work for a marketing company; the amount of cold calling I do is fairly disturbing.

To the companies credit, it's small, but we spend time researching businesses which could actually benefit from our services, send out a pack which costs anywhere between £1 and £3 a go, and then follow it up with a call. But cold calling is cold calling!

I'm a big sissy and my handy pops get cold.
Heated grips are the 'Berries' and mean you can think about driving rather than your numb hands and fingers.

Advice:
Buy a good winter glove too though as the gloves thermal insulation will help keep the heat from the grips from dissipating into the breeze.

Hein Gerrike do a good glove. Mine have lasted two winters 100%water proof bla bla.

But others are out there..

I hear for heated grips, you can actually get special gloves that have thick insulation on the backs of your hands, but thin insulation on the palms.

It's all irrelevant anyway; you want a warm core, not warm hands.

Load of old tosh!

Helps but doesn't work as much as not needing some other form of heating in this cold commute!
