While in J&S on saturday there was a recall notice for oxford hot grips. They are likely to over heat due to the element in them being incorrectly molded in, the notice was for items brought between september and october. If you have a close look at them you can see the element through the rubber. If in doubt get them checked! Thumbs Up

I bought a set @ the NEC show and the element completely came thru the rubber in mine within a few days Thumbs Down not got round to swapping yet, need to post them off to the place I bought them from Rolling Eyes

Sounds stupid but how do you tell if the element has come through when they are wrapped around ur bars?

Oxford Products recall

Oxford Products has issued a recall of Hot Grips and Custom Hot Grips due to a potentional fault.

The problem may stop the grips working properly, but only affects some of the Hot Grips and Custom Hot Grips despatched to shops between 30th September 2005, and 29th November 2005. Any product shipped to stores before September 30th is not affected.

All shops which have purchased potentially affected products have been informed. If you are unable to contact the shop where you purchased the Hot Grips, contact Oxford directly on 01993-862300.

I bought a set recently and the element melted through the grip.

Just took them back to the shop and said the grips you sold me are faulty.....they just gave me another box and said bring back the old ones when you can!
