It would slow the turning down a bit, but whether it would be noticeable will depend on how much wider you go.

BTW it's 'tyre' and 'turn'.

There is an easier solution that will have exactly the same effect.

Write 'I am a stupid tart' over your bike in pink lettering.
Smile

A fatter back tyre can be done, you can usually go one size up ok with only a minor effect on handling.
More than that and you need a bigger wheel and will be starting to mess up the handling even more. Would need to get custom parts made to make it fit.

On the 400 you will be limited by the space you have.

Seems rather a waste of money to make your bike perform worse.

How much work would you need to do to fit bigger wheels? (GS125)

That's a crap tyre on it anyway, is it not. More of a commuter type one?

Put a Bridgestone or dunlop one on there, I think it's jsut the crappy, horrible tread pattern you don't like. Razz

Yer shit tyre, look at the profile.

Get a decent set of 014's or 090's. They have a much sharper profile and will make your chicken strips look even bigger! Cool Laughing

That really is a shit rear tyre you have there richy.

I've got a pair of 014's on mine, which is a 160 on the rear and it doesn't look a great deal smaller than the 180 section 014 on my uncle's GSX-R750.
