Just got myself my first set of leathers from Hein Gericke. 2 Piece celtic suit.

Tried them on in the shop and got myself a pair that fitted nicely. Got home today and tried them on and zipped the 2 together.

They wont sit properly because the jacket is a few sizes bigger than the trousers. Is it possible to get the zips changed to make them fit or what can I do?

Didn't it in the shop because it would take too long and just assumed they would fit, took me about 15min to do it and find out they dont zip up.. Doh!

Take them back to Hein Gericke and get the correct jeans/jacket as they should just zip together off the shelf.

The different sizes dont fit right though.

Individually they fit great and I like the look of them so I'd rather not have to go and find a different set (and they were on sale).

Should be able to get the zips changed so they sit right.

Did either piece come with the other half of the zip? My gericke trousers did and I just sewed it into my jacket which is a completely different make.

Yep, what Bendy said.

I had a set of leathers where the zips didnt match, so I got a heavy duty zip from a curtains/material shop (milliners?), sewed it on myself in an appalling crude but strong way, and they never let me down.

Personally i'd go in and see what the Hein Gericke guys suggest first tho.

Got 2 extra zips sitting here.

I'll go find someone who has skills on the sewing machine to try and help me out.

Thanks Thumbs Up
