HI all i had to replace the gear lever on my bike as it snapped when i came off, ive replaced it with a brand new one , but now i go to work and it comes mega lose , i tighten it up go home , when i get home its mega lose again .

I cant tighten it up tight because then i cant change gear , i change the lever in the dark , have a lost a washer or something?

Or something along those lines. Or you might of lost a nylok nut or C-clip.

If theres a nut holding it on, then try using a spring washer and a nylon nut, they seem to do the trick for the things that used to vibrate loose on the RD. I would also reccomend the loctite stuff as well.
