Got sent this. Apparantly the bike was doing 155mph when the car pulled out in front of him. The car supposeadly rolled from the force of the impact.

Driver, Passenger and Rider dead.

Quote:
These pictures are taken from a Swedish police stand at a motor show desigend to
put the safety message across.

Apparently the rider was going at 155mph when the car pulled out of a
T-junction. The bike impacted in less time/distance than it takes to think &
react at that speed so the rider apparently wouldn't even have realised what was
happening. I don't think the car passenger would have been best pleased either,
all three were killed and the car (VW Golf) rolled 10m. This is the position
the vehicles were when the police arrived.

"sorry mate, didn't see you..."

Have to laugh at that quote blaming the car driver. Who does 155 near a junction etc?

When has a RC30 ever done 155mph?

This picture comes up every few months, it was a prank done the police for a safe driving campaign.

So because it wasn't going 155mph means it's fake? Confused

The RC30 can still hit 130 easy.

I 1st saw this image and the story around 3 years ago, the Swedish Police flung the bike into a side using the car crash test setup.

Filmed it, and turned it into a advert.

There are quite a few.

Or maybe its an RC30 thats been completely resprayed to look like an NC30.

Which do you think is most likely?

If it's real, then I assume the bodies are still inside somewhere? As I see the roof hasn't been cut off. Wink

Damage pattern doesnt look quite right, wheres the bike riders shape? ever geniune pic ive seen like this always has the riders shape built into the side. Looks alot like a damaged car with an nc30 placed inside it then crushed around it.

Mmmm, I'm a bit sceptical. Never seen it before though, so thanks!

I imagine they would have had to get the rider and passengers out of the car using a high pressure hose after that.

It's clearly the drivers fault for not leaving enough time to pull out.

I always like to think that in that sort of situatiuon I could simply leap clear of the car, do a bit of a superman and land on the road, although in that case it would mean flying unaided at 150mph Shocked

it's only described as an "intersection", so we actually don't know who had right of way.

also, in travelling at 227 feet per second, the bike might well have been out of sight when the car started moving.

the fact that there's no evidence of the bike having even tried to take avoiding action suggests they hadn't seen each other at all, even within the average reaction time of 1.6seconds (ie 363 feet)

I reckon there's equal blame, and would tend towards blaming the rider for riding so quickly over an intersection. You can't expect the average driver to judge closing speeds of bikes travelling that quickly.

Since they came out.
I had a VFR750F and that hit just under 150 easily.
The RC30 did over 80 in first.
