Not enough ankle or shin protection IMO. They have all the poor looks of motorcycle boots, with less protection.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

It looks like a plastic clog... I don't get it.

It'd look daft with leathers but isn't tall enough or waterproof enough to be a touring boot shoe. The only thing I can understand them with is a pair of jeans, but if you don't care enough to wear decent bottoms why would anyone care enough to wear anything more than a pair of leather boots?

They are like quad bikes on the road, all the inconvenience of a motorcycle (boot) but without the benefits.

Not sure why you'd buy them but if you like them then that is enough Thumbs Up .

It's crap. My friend has one and he was fed up with it after winter. It gets cold and wet.

The whole point of me buying boots is the ankle protection.

I have some Sidi Vertigo's, the full boot version of those Street Burners, and yes the soles tend to wear down quickly if you walk in them... although mine are 5-6 years old now, and I still wear them for weekend runs. I also have a pair of Sidi Black Rain's for the winter, and they have similar sole wear problems too...

However the paddock boots that I'm using for commuting this summer are Arlen Ness paddock boots.

Less protection than the full boot, but better protection than my army boots etc, and a lot less restricting than my Sidi's Thumbs Up

Having said that, it was only the price of the Sidi's that put me off slightly - I'd happily wear the Street Burners given the opportunity

I have a pair of them sidi's, as i don't wear leather trousers, they are perfect, and they will protect my foot if it ever gets crushed.
Maybe not my ankle, but my foot will be ok. Very Happy

main reason i got them is when i am going out the shops or something my propper boots are a pain in the arse Smile way to hot as well so i normally end up wearing my armoured DH mtb trainers i wanted something thats a 50/50 compromise between a boots protection and a trainers comfort
hy h
minhdinh id be asking him we is complaining about a summer boot being shit in the cold Confused isnt the whole point of a summer boot to be cool/ airy

DonnyBrago i wear fully kevlar lined armoured combats Smile i trust those just as much as my leathers sidis look fine with em
"all the inconvenience of a motorcycle (boot) but without the benefits. " i dont get you ? they do up faster than my trainers 1 clip tighten and velcro done

i forgot to mention my favorite thing about these boots ...the feedback ...i can feel the exact point when the gear is going to change and feel the moment my rear brake starts to bite Very Happy

If you believe the Kevalr armoured trouser will give you the same protection as leathers then I guess one day your ankle and skin may be messed up.

Nice boots anyway, but honestly, you should understand what is lacking in what you have. I don't mind anyone doing whatever they want in their lives though. Just my opinion.
