non runner aprilla rs125

hello everyone

i just brought an rs 125 aprilla 3 years old andnot been used in 2 as the guy i brought it from had no uk licence (he moved here from germany.

its a non runner but did run before he got here. i know the petrol is stale and needs draining and battery would need replacing its breaks etc are all fine but as a non runner is there anything else i should do. i have usualy on ly brought runners but got it for £200 an couldnt say no as ill only use it on the track

At £200 it was well worth buying.

It is worth taking the carb aparts and cleaning it out. Fresh petrol and new spark plug, clean the air filter and then try again. See if you are getting a spark when it is cranking over.

Battery will be shot after several years of being flat.

you will need to clean the carbs out and clean them out! the petrol would have gone horrible in there and would block up the jets.
