Micron Exhaust

I have a GPZ500S, 99 - 'D' model. The exhaust downpipes required welding (where they join together under the bike) and it's only done 9,000 miles! I am totally happy with the bike and it's mint but would like a better sounding exhaust. The idea is I keep the original in the garage and get either a Micron (£275) or Motad (£200). Which one would is the better buy (both are stainless) and have a limited warranty.
Also, will I need to have the carbs rejetted or can I just bolt it on and go? Is having the carbs rejetted the same as fitting a Dynojet kit and will it then drink juice? I am not particularly looking for extra performance but want the bike to run correctly if I change the exhaust.

I'd IMAGINE the motad will be fine to run as standard, the micron is a race system is it not or one intended to put out extra power? If so, it would PROBABLY be best to get it fettled with by a mechanic (whatever they do) but I put on a remus full system on my kawasaki er5 (same engine really) and I didn't touch the fuelling. Ran fine and sounded gorgeous.

I know that Motad say their exhaust does not need rejetting, but I suspect that better results are obtained if you do.

A dynojet kit is just a kit of parts for the carbs to change the fueling to compensate for changes. No reason a bike with one fitted should drink fuel, unless either it was set up very lean or you are using rather more of the performance.

The Motad will actually probably not need jetting, they tend to base their designs on the original but make them stainless. The Micron will almost certainly need rejetting, unless it is road legal throughout.
