On doing a check on my 2003 cg the air box has water in it again, thankfully the in built drain pipe is removing it but the lower area of the sponge filter cover is saturated... i can only presume the air intake under the seat is leaking when water drains in there but it looks a solid seal to me Confused Any one any ideas or is the common, Cheers.

If you are worried about a particular seal, some epoxy resin or any number of a host of bonding agents would probably work to seal any gap/ crack pretty well. Take the airbox out and have an exploratory prod with a fine screwdriver to help search out any cracks.

So long as the drain hole is working properly so it isn't running into the engine, it isn't a big problem. If it were a water cooled bike with coolant tanks and hoses all over the place, I'd be perhaps worried, but as it is, it should be okay.

Anywhere the back wheel could be throwing water up and in? Cracked mudguard etc?
