After been reading about people having their bikes stolen, here is a suggestion. Why not have a place on the forum where anyone who has their bikes stolen post the bikes photo and info about it, so if anyone come across some bike they think is stolen they can check with the pictures and contact the unlucky owner

Yeah, people aren't going to see a bike and think 'Ooh, that looks nicked, I'll check for that on BCF.'

A section I do think might be useful would be an 'Introduce Yourself' section. They seem fairly successful on other forums.

the fact that no one looks at it isn't the forums problem.

Agreed. A forum dedicated to introducing yourself is a pointless really when there is already a forum for newbies to ask questions in. It doesn't have to be limited to new to biking, but new to the site also.

Heres a picture of my bike - it was stolen a while ago. Last time I saw it some crazy Italian was riding it round tracks winning all the time. If any one knows of the where abouts of my bike or the thief of a rider that stole it please contact me.

Well due to a recent tip-off I've caught the culprit.

And here he was - it turned out to be some lad called Valentino Rossi.
